KO Phi-Phi-Don

Covers a total ares of 28 square kilometers: 8 kilometers in length and 3.5 at its broadest point.Covers a total ares of 28 square kilometers: 8 kilometers in length and 3.5 at its broadest point. At the north end is Cape Laem Tohng where there is a Chao Ley, or sea gypsy village. There sea gypsies emigrated from Koh Lipeh in Tarutao National Park, near the border with Malaysia. Diving at Laem Tohng is excellent, as it is also at Hua Rah Ket to the extreme south. There are long beaches with rocks scattered about Two curving bays are especially beautiful : Ton Sai and Loh Dalam. This is also where accommodations and tourist services are found.

KO Phi- Phi -Lay is smaller, 6.6 sq. kms. and promises a variety of different cultural experiences. Apart from the amazingly beautiful Maya Bay, where they filmed the movie 'The Beach' starring Leonardo Di Caprio. Colourful sea gypsies also live here and the cliffs are the home of the swallows who's nests are collected for the famous bird's nest soup. The many caves are full of historic and pre-historic relics and painting. Both these islands will provide a good opportunity to relax and explore.








KO LANTA(Island LANTA)












KO LANTA

The district,located approximately 70 km from Krabi Town, consists of two major islands, the larger, more populated Ko Lanta Yai (Commonly known as simply Ko Lanta) and the smaller Ko Lanta Noi, as well as several minor islands. The island (Ko Lanta Yai) has 9 attractive white sandy beaches, splendid scenery; coastlines have more than 70 small islands and plenty with forest, coral reefs and under water life. The geography of the island is typically mangroves; coral rimmed beaches; and rugged tree covered hills. A popular tourist destination, the islands are known for their long, sandy beaches and scuba diving.

Neighboring districts are Nuea Khlong to the northwest and Khlong Thom to the northeast and east. Whereas, the rest of the sides are surrounded by Andaman Sea.

134 km² of the district belong to the Ko Lanta National Park, which was established in 1990 as the 62nd national park of Thailand.

KO ROK (Island ROK)












Ko Rok

This attraction is actually comprised of two islands: Ko Rok Nai and Ko Rok Nok. Ko Rok Nai is composed mainly of steep cliffs with superb beachs and unspoiled coral reefs among rocks. On the other hand, Ko Rok Nok has soft white sandy beaches and shallow water coral reefs towards the southeast and south with Hat Thalu and Ao Man Sai situated at the end of the island. Visitors can contact tour operators, resorts and bungalows on Ko Lanta Yai for an excursion to Ko Rok by speedboat. However, it is not recommended to take the trip by long-tail boat.

Mu Ko Lanta National Park
Covering an area of 152 square kilometers, the Park is comprised of many different-sized islands, some of which are surrounded by beautiful coral reefs such as Ko Ha, Ko Rok and Ko Hai. The Parks main island is Ko Lanta Yai, where both the Headquarters and National Park Office are located. The island itself is generally rugged and mountainous with gravelly and sandy beaches to the south. The most suitable time to visit Ko Lanta is from November to April.
